Last week I had the pleasure of being chosen to take photos for Alex Pelling and Lisa Gant.   The story of this couple is awesome.  Basically they are travelling around the World in their very cool campervan and having wedding ceremonies in various different Countries.   This time the location was Scotland.   For all their other ceremonies, check out their website www.2people1life.com.

I started off by flying to Glasgow and took the opportunity to capture some landscapes on the way to the west coast of Scotland (Crear).  Even though there was a lot of snow, to my amazement it wasn’t too cold.   I stayed in a cottage with Alex, Lisa and a couple of their friends Richard and Alex.  We had some fantastic homemade food thanks to Lisa.

The ceremony took place on the Wednesday where I had the opportunity to wear a kilt.  We went along the beach and had the pleasure of being joined by a Scottish piper and a full Scottish pipe band.  The ceremony took place on the beach where we seemed to experience all four seasons within about half an hour.  Lisa looked stunning in her wedding dress and accessories from Melle Cloche www.mellecloche.myshopify.com  The kilts were supplied by Slanj www.slanjkilts.com and Alex the bridesmaid wore an amazing dress from http://twobirdsbridesmaid.co.uk/

Crear weddings http://www.crearweddings.co.uk/ did a fantastic job of organising the event and the venue was amazing.

The couple have been featured on Lorraine Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and were married in New York by Martha Stewart.

Here are some images from the Scottish adventure;

I recently had the pleasure of covering Jon and Matt’s Civil Partnership ceremony at the wonderful Northcote Manor hotel in North Devon.

As with every wedding I cover I offer a pre ceremony sitting which can be at any location in the southwest, for their sitting we went to the amazing Royal William Yard in Plymouth. Here is the picture that they chose for their signing picture.

Their day was a lovely but cold day, it was great to see all their friends and family had made it to North Devon. During their ceremony they had an opera singer, so so impressive to hear such a big voice from such a small lady!

After the ceremony we went out and braved the freezing weather to capture some photos, starting with the group and family shots we then went off to get some pictures of just the two of them.

Here are some of the pictures from their very special day.

Last night I can happily say I trained a surgeon….. to take photos at night!

I am currently running a series of night time photography courses where you get to understand how to capture images at night. The course lasts 3 hours and takes in many parts of Exeter, I teach you how to correctly expose pictures to capture the best image you and your camera will allow including buildings, traffic trails, light painting and if we are lucky with the weather then we also try star photography.

At this time of year it is obviously a bit colder and possibly wetter but that wont stop us getting out there and experiencing the city at night.

If any of you are interested in coming along on my next night photography course then please get in touch, I will give you more details.

Here are some of the images that I have captured whilst doing the course, you will be able to get the same!

Today took me up to London to visit the swpp conference.  Had an awesome day and came away with some fantastic ideas for my weddings and shoots that I have this year.

After we visited the conference we took a drive down to the embankment to get some photos, the one I want to share is St Pauls Cathedral from the millenium footbridge.
